Tail
In brown
For the tail you will be working in rows. You will be making 2 identical pieces (the front and the back) and then sewing them together
1. Ch5
2-6. 4sc (4) [5 rows]
7. 4sc, ch7 (11)
8-11. 10sc (10) [4 rows]

20-24. 8sc (8) [5 rows]
25. 4sc, inc, 3sc (9)
26-32. Sc in each st (9) [7 rows]
Tie off and leave a short tail. Now repeat these steps to make a 2nd piece
Once you have both pieces, lay them on top and each other and then sew around the edge. Start at the bottom of the tail and then work your way around. Don't forget to add stuffing once you start sewing back down the other side.
You dont want to stuff it too much as you still want it to be sort of flat
Assembly
I start by sewing the head onto the body. You want to line the neck up with the centre of the head (the bottom of it). You can use long needles to hold it in place and then sew it on

Next you want to add the ears. The left ear should be pointing up and you want roughly a hands width between them

To add the tail you want the bottom of it to be sitting just above the spikes but you want to add it at an angle, tipping the opposite way to the head. I only sew around the bottom part of the tail but how much you sew is up to you!

Last but not least you want to add the face. You might find it easier to mark it out with pins first. The bottom of the eyes should line up roughly with the middle of the head with roughly 5/6 stitches between them. But note that the left eye is smaller than the right eye
Then you are going to take your black yarn and embroider a rough swirl for each eye. Please remember that these do not have to be perfect, they are meant to look sort of messy!

For the mouth you may want to mark this out again, but you are essentially making a big 'V', then a little 'v', and then another big 'V' all in one.8 You will again be using your black yarn to embroider this. I also tend to go over the lines of the mouth twice just to make it a little thicker.

Next you have to embroider the cheeks on either side of the mouth. For this you will need the orange yarn and you will be embroidering a zig-zag in the rough shape of a circle

Last but not least you want to add Mimikyu's eye holes on the body. For these you just want to make 2 vertical lines half way down the body, roughly 3 stitches apart. I make each line roughly 3 rows long

You should now have a finished Mimikyu!

This is a beautifully written pattern. I did it in Demipurl yarn and it came out quite large and beautiful. I had to size down my hook for the head, otherwise it would have been too large, otherwise the instructions were perfect and the end result was awesome.
I just finished it today! I loved it so much, thank you for sharing this with us!
Well done. I haven’t started yet, but I have book marked your site because I want to make this. Thank you for sharing.
