You are going to start by making 3 fingers. They will be tiny so you might need some patience!

1. 4sc in mr (4)

2. 3sc, slst (4)

Tie off, leave a short tail and pop to the side

Make 2 more fingers, tie off the 2nd finger but NOT the 3rd finger. Leave the 3rd finger on your hook and continue on to round 3 where you will join the fingers

Arm

To join the fingers you are going to sc around the outside of them.

I couldn’t get a clear photo as they were to small so instead I have added a drawing of where to crochet

3. 2sc in the finger your hook is currently in, 2sc in the 2nd finger, 4sc in the 3rd finger, 2sc in the 2nd finger, 2sc in the 3rd finger (12)

9. Sc in each st (11)

10. Dec, 4sc, dec, 3sc (9)

Tie off, add a bit more stuffing but don't stuff the top of the arm too densely, and close up, leaving a tail long enough for sewing onto the body

Ears x2

1. 6sc in mr (6)

2. Inc, sc, repeat around (9)

3. Sc in each st (9)

4. Inc, 2sc, repeat around (12)

5. Inc, 3sc, repeat around (15)

Slst, tie off, and leave a tail long enough for sewing onto the head. Add a little stuffing

9-11. Sc in each st (15)

12. Dec, 3sc, repeat around (12)

13. Sc in each st (12)

14. Dec, 2sc, repeat around (9)

15. Dec, 2sc, Dec, 3sc (7)

16-86. Sc in each st (7)

Assembly

Now you want to start putting all of the pieces together

I start by adding the upper legs to the body. Place them on either side of the body but then bring bring them just a little closer to the front by about 1 stitch. You want the bottom of the upper legs to sit roughly at round 6.

Hold them in place with long needles or sticks. When you sew them on, you want bottom to bulge out more than the top

Next you want to add the lower legs. Place them under the upper leg but so that the back inside of the lower leg is also touching the body. Use long needles or sticks to hold them in place before sewing

Then add the head. You want to place it so the neck is right in the centre of the bottom of the head, then move the head forwards just a touch. Use long needles or sticks to hold the head in place and then sew it on

After that add the ears. Place them so that the top edge of the ear is roughly 4 rounds out from the magic ring. Use long needles or sticks to hold them in place then sew them on

Now add the arms. You want the top of the arms to sit roughly 1 round down from the head, on either side of the body. Sit them at a slight angle so the hands are pointing towards you slightly. Use a long needle or stick to hold them in place before sewing. When sewing, you only want to sew around the top of the arm so that the lower arms/hands can still move about

The last thing to sew on is the tail and you just want to sew this onto Mews bum!

Last but not least you just want to add those final finishing details using your black yarn. I make 2 little angled lines on the inside of mews eyes

and then 2 black lines on the end of the feet to make the toes

And you should now have a fully finished Mew!
